Cast Urethanes/Low Volume Production is the production method used to create up to hundreds of parts from one mold in a variety of materials that mimic production quality parts. The process begins with the creation of a high-resolution master pattern. This master pattern is then used to create a silicone mold which will then be used to produce hundreds of production quality parts. Since the silicone mold is flexible, undercuts and difficult geometries are easily produced. This method is ideal for marketing samples or applications where fewer than 1000 parts need to be created without the expense of an injection mold tool.
